Small Business Breakthroughs Magazine

Chris McQueen is a small business consultant who enjoys solving problems and specializes in working with trades and construction business owners to turn chaos into clarity. With over 15 years of hands-on experience on the business side of service-based businesses and a track record of building high-performing teams, Chris brings more than just advice—he brings structure, systems, and the kind of deep understanding that only comes from doing the work.

Chris enjoys helping business owners who are great at their craft but overwhelmed by the pressures of growth. Whether they’re stuck in the weeds of estimating, trying to lead a team without a roadmap, or watching profits vanish despite full calendars, Chris steps in with a simple, strategic approach. Using various tools and frameworks he helps owners uncover hidden profit opportunities and create step-by-step plans for building businesses that support their lifestyle—not consume it.

At the heart of Chris’s work is a belief: most small business owners are far more capable than they realize. What they need isn’t more hustle—it’s perspective, validation, and a proven framework to move forward. Through coaching, peer groups, and practical workshops, Chris helps owners grow in confidence, lead with purpose, and finally run the business they set out to build.

Whether he's leading a strategy session, building a leadership lab, or walking a business owner through their first profitable quarter in years, Chris McQueen shows up with one goal: to turn tradespeople into confident business leaders who know where they’re going—and how to get there.

When Chris isn’t working directly with trades businesses to untangle operations, uncover hidden profits, or help leaders step into their next level of growth, he’s usually off-grid—literally. He finds clarity on long solo motorcycle trips, exploring the deserts of the American Southwest, or traveling to a new city. Watching the Dallas Stars, Movies, listening to podcasts, and deep conversations with family and friends help him recharge and reconnect with what matters most.

Chris’s work has been featured in C&R Magazine and Restoration & Remediation, where he writes about sales leadership, curiosity in business, and the real, human challenges of growth. His articles reflect the same values he brings to his clients—clarity, vulnerability, and a deep respect for the entrepreneurial journey.
